System Integration

System Integration

We have experience in the majority of process automation platforms including: Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Provox, Siemens S7, Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Honeywell H900 & Experion, ABB AC500 & CP500 and Yokogawa Centum VP.  With this experience, we can easily perform all necessary integration related services for these platforms, where it is necessary to move data from sources to receivers.

The protocols we use to perform these integration projects include (but are not limited to): Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, OPC DA, OPC UA, BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, and almost any other protocol that is in use today.  We are also experienced in moving TCP/IP API’s and flat-file based data into and out of control systems.

ICE has developed a standardized approach to this project, which vastly reduces the time and risk. While each project presents its own set of details, the standardization developed by ICE often brings the project into budget and/or competitive with other solutions that do not offer full benefits or bare greater risk. If the pursuit is purely data-gathering for non-control purposes, the standardized approach owned by ICE is ready for deployment for such applications.

Industrial Network Design

ICE Process Management, through necessity, has become adept at industrial data network design.  This often spans the spectrum from serial communications on 2-conductor networks, to cyber-secure integrated 3-layer wireless-fiber-ethernet networks. Each application is considered independently, without a preconceived notion of necessities. In some cases, expertise is required, for which ICE has strategic partnerships. In many cases though, the architecture, implementation, and commissioning are able to be performed entirely by in-house ICE resources.

Lab Data Management

Interactions with laboratory and research-science applications are woven into the fabric of the ICE’s background. Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) often arises as the common basis for managing all the data generated in the laboratory environment. These systems usually have a variety of functions that are somewhat standardized, accordingly, the basic model price-tag is often high-up into the 5-figure range. ICE has developed an approach to addressing the needs of most small laboratory environments. It allows researchers to perform research rather than being exhausted by data entry and aggregation.
